Position purpose:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Manager of Military Operations Division is responsible for oversight of all aspects of DHMS' military operations.
Provides direction to and sets goals for the divisions' various operational departments including Military Screening, Pano, Portable Treatment, RV and Equipment and Logistics divisions.
Manages operating budget, tracks and monitors costs, and ensures budgets are properly executed.
Essential Duties Oversee and manage all aspects of the day-to-day military operations, ensuring operations are compliant and in sync with strategy.
Provide training, coaching, and counseling when necessary.
Develop and administer military operational policies, standards, and practices.
Communicate to all division staff through meetings, announcements, reports, and bulletins.
Maintain relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
Oversee the approval process for Exam, Treatment and Pano division invoices.
Coordinates with other division managers to provide a high level of operational support in customer services, company policy processing, loss control, and division accounting.
Maintains awareness of militaries opinions, needs and challenges.
Demonstrates awareness of event staffing and equipment patterns.
Review previous events and actively manage high potential prospects.
Verify all equipment is prepared and shipped to military events accurately and in a timely manner.
Oversee event compliancy.
Ensure that relevant financial data is presented to the CEO, COO and Board Members.
Oversee risk management and legal activities:
letters of agreement, contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field plus five (5) years progressively responsible professional experience in oversight and direction of an organization or multiple divisions of an organization.
Comparable graduate-level education may be substituted for professional experience on a year per year basis.
Must have five (5) years managerial/supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of government contract management.
Knowledge of experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.
Excellent public presentation and interaction skills.
Ability to work with government agencies and other investors as part of collaborative relationship in meeting organizational mission and performance objectives.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.
Strong and effective problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in applicable PC hardware and software.
Ability to prioritize work, given that a number of tasks, related to various departments, are required to be performed on a daily basis.
Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions Involves sitting much of the time and will involve walking, stooping, and lifting less than 10 pounds.
Primarily works inside with well-lighted and well-ventilated areas.
Local, nationwide, and international travel, with 30% overnight travel, as needed or as directed by COO.
Work Hours Mon-Fri from 8:
30 AM until 5:
30 PM.
Weekend supervisory requirements when events are ongoing.
Travel as required.
